Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up by 5:30 am, have breakfast and our company guide will pick you from the hotel for transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Set off at 6:00 am to western Uganda passing through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside.  The journey to Queen Elizabeth national park takes 6-7 hours’ drive with stopovers at areas of tourist attraction like the Uganda Equator for an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time.

 Proceed with the journey through the savannah grasslands with plenty of banana plantations and you will have a chance to view local long horned Ankole cattle grazing in the ever green vegetation.

Pass by local restaurant and you will have packed lunch. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park reaching in time for boat cruise.  You will enjoy your lunch while in the boat ride at Kazinga channel where you be rewarded with view of plenty of wildlife like Hippos, Buffalos, Crocodiles and elephants bathing at the banks of the channel.

Queen Elizabeth national park has over 550 bird species and 90% are found at Kazinga channel, some of the bird species found in Queen Elizabeth national park are, the famous Shoe bill, pelican, African Jacana, Knob-billed Duck, common squacco Heron, saddle-billed stork and yellow wagtail. Evening game drive as your heading to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and departure

Leave the lodge very early in the morning after breakfast for morning game drive. Morning game drive is awesome experience where you will encounter different wildlife that includes the big four. Expect to encounter the following; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, Bush bucks, Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas, leopards, antelopes, and Waterbucks as well as birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and check-out. Drive back to Kampala; drop off at the hotel or Entebbe international airport for your booked flight.
