3 Days Chimpanzee tracking safari takes you to the primate’s capital of the world Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale forest national park is a home to over 500 habituated chimpanzees, 12 other primates and home to over 300 bird species. The park has the biggest population of Chimpanzees in East Africa. Kibale forest national park offer visit to Bigodi wetland sanctuary rich with bird species, primates, flora and fauna.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy a cup of African coffee and then our company guide will pick you from the hotel for transfer to the primates’ capital of the world Kibale forest national park. Kibale forest national park is located in southern Uganda protecting the moist evergreen rainforest.
A drive to Kibale forest national park is rewarding, you will see tea plantation, banana plantation, rolling hills, beautiful volcanic landscape, local farms and evergreen vegetation. On arrival to Fort Portal, you will have lunch and after lunch proceed for visit to king’s palaces and crater lakes. After drive to the lodge, check-in for dinner and overnight stay at crater safari lodge, primate safari, chimpanzee forest guesthouse or mountains of the moon hotel.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature Walk Bigodi Wetlands
Leave the lodge after breakfast. Drive to Kibale forest national park headquarters for briefing on the rules and regulations of chimpanzees trekking at 7:00 am. Uganda Wildlife Authority game rangers will brief you and they will group tourists in a group of 6 people per chimpanzee community. Kibale forest national park has over 3 large communities of Chimpanzees that are habituated for the trekking adventure. You will enter into the forest with game rangers who are good in locating these giants and these game rangers are well advanced with this chimpanzee because they know the territory of each chimpanzee community.
During the trek in search of chimpanzee in the forest trials you will observe plenty of other wildlife like Red Colobus Monkey, L’Hoest Monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, and Vervet Monkeys. After locating the chimps, you will spend one hour with them and after return to the headquarters where you will meet your guide who will transfer you to lodge for lunch.
After lunch head for nature walk at Bigodi Wetlands sanctuary located in the eastern edge of Kibale forest. You will encounter plenty of bird species and wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the previous lodge.
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast check out of the lodge and head back to Kampala, you will have lunch break from any tourist’s restaurant along the way. Drop off at the Hotel or Entebbe international airport.
Safari is inclusive of; Chimpanzee permits, Bigodi wetlands walk, transport, accommodation, meals, visit to the crater lakes and mineral water.
