This 4 days Rwanda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking  is aunique one as it sees you to Nyungwe forest national park, one of Rwanda’s best kept secret.  You will get to do canopy walk  to  have a whole aerial view of Nyungwe national park , you will get to trek the Rwanda chimpanzees agreat highlight of Nyungwe forest  and   a nature walks visiting the Rwanda tea eastate  you will later head to volcanoes national park Rwanda for an epic Rwanda gorilla trekking , you will also get to immerse yourself into the Rwanda  culture by visiting the Ibyiwacu cultural village.

Brief travel plan

Day 1: Pick from Kigali and transfer ton Nyungwe forest national park, do canopy walk.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and visit to the tea estates.

Day 3: Transfer to volcanoes national park and visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali.

Detailed travel plan

Day 1 of 4 Days Rwanda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari:  Pick up from Kigali, have a brief tour of Kigali city.

Our Select adventure Safari guide will pick you from your place of accommodation   and he will take you on a brief tour of Kigali city, visit Kigali memorial site.   And later proceed to Nyungwe forest national park through the Rwanda lush country side.    You will arrive, check in at your hotel and later head for canopy walk in the park.  Later exit the canopy walk and head to your lodge / hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 of 4 Days Rwanda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari: Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe national park.

In the morning you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing and guidelines of chimpanzee trekking. Later embark on the search for chimpanzees in the park, the search for Nyungwe chimps is a thrilling one as you will have   hike the forest as you encounter birds and other primates. Upon meeting the gorilla, you will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour interacting   with them.   Later exit the park and head to your accommodation for lunch and later you will   go for walk in the tea plantation for a walk.

Day 3 of 4 Days Rwanda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari : Transfer to Volcanoes National park and   visit Ibyiwacu cultural center.

Wake to a relaxed morning, have breakfasts and later you will depart Nyungwe forest national park for volcanoes national park Rwanda. Upon you arrival at volcanoes, you will check in at your lodge. Later you will leave the lodge for an interesting activity dubbed the immersion of Rwanda culture, here you will visit the Ibyiwacu cultural center where there is a display of Rwanda’s culture.  Late you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 of 4 Days Rwanda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali.

Early in the morning, you will have breakfasts,   hop in the vehicle and head to the park headquarters , be briefed on the do and donts involved in the gorilla trekking exercise.  Later be assigned a gorilla family to trek from.  delve into the jungle in search for endangered mountain gorillas.  Note that the ease of tracking the gorillas will depend on the characteristics of the family you have been assigned to track from.  As you hike the jungles you will come across birds and other primates such as monkeys later upon meeting the gorillas. You will be allowed to spend an hour with them interacting and taking photos and  having a brief study of their traits.  Later head back to the lodge and check out , transfer to Kigali and be dropped off at any place of your choice or at the airport for your  flight home.
