Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: pickup and transfer to Lake Mburo national park and a game drive
On the 1st day of 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari be picked from your hotel in Kampala after early morning breakfast, your safari driver will give you a short briefing about the safari and then set off at exactly 7:00 am on your journey to Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda using Kampala-Masaka road. On your way you will have stopover in Kijjude village in Mpambire for a cultural experience, in this village you will experience the making of local royal drums and get an opportunity to buy a drum as a souvenir. You will have another stopover at the equator monument for pictures, buy souvenirs and proceed to Lake Mburo national park, when you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive enjoying sights of large herds of zebras, leopards, warthogs, impalas, giraffe and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Morning boat cruise and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On the 2nd day of 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari you will have early breakfast then head for a morning boat cruise of 2 hours on Lake Mburo, the boat cruise starts at 8:00 am and as you cruise on the waters of Lake Mburo you will enjoy sights of many animals and birds on the shores of the lake such as crocodiles, hippos and many more. After the boat cruise you will exit the park and head to Igongo cultural center for a cultural and historical experience, Igongo cultural centre showcases art, culture and history of the tribes in western Uganda and you will have an opportunity to enjoy local cuisines and be entertained by local dances. From the museum you will embark on a drive to Lake Bunyonyi, when you arrive you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Canoe experience and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable park
On the 3rd day of 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari you will have morning breakfast and head to lake Bunyonyi for breathtaking views of the lake and a boat cruise which starts at exactly 7:30 am, as you canoe on the waters of the lake you will have an opportunity to visit various islands found in the lake such as punishment island where girls who got pregnant before marriage where banished to. You will also have an opportunity to spot many birds such as herons, egrets and many more. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, check out and embark on a drive of 3-4 hours to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On your way you will have a stopover for lunch and then proceed to the park, when you arrive you will check into your lodge and in the evening you will have lunch and stay overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
On the 4th day of 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari you will have early morning breakfast then depart to the park’s headquarters for briefing with your packed, in the briefing your safari driver will read you the dos and don’ts for these safari, assign you a gorilla group top trek then head in to the forests in search for mountain gorillas. Mountain gorillas trekking takes about 4-6 hours trying to locate for mountain gorillas and when you locate then you are allocated only 1 hour to stay in presence of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek you will head back to your lodge and have an afternoon of resting and in evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
On the 5th day of 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari you will have early morning breakfast at your leisure then checkout and set off on your journey back to Kampala, on your way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and in Kampala you will be dropped either at your hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
