 Day 1 : Kampala to Gulu

On this day , you will have your breakfast and meet with your driver guide at the hotel who will give you a briefing about your tour and you will set off for your journey to Kitgum Town in Northern Uganda . This is an interesting drive on a smooth road and there are a number of optional activities among them is a visit to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary . You will then have lunch and proceed to Gulu arriving in the afternoon , check in your lodge to rest .

Day 2 : Gulu to Kidepo National Park– Cultural tour

Breakfast will be served early and you will embark on your journey to Kidepo National Park . This is a 3 – 4 hours drive with eye catching sites along the way including manyattas ( grass thrached houses ) and the scenic views of hills which separate the lands of Acholi and Karamoja .

Upon your arrival in the park , check into your lodge . Later, you will have  a community cultural tour where you will visit the Lorokul cultural group located just outside the national park . You will then go back to your lodge for your lunch and a short break .

After having your lunch , you will embark on your community cultural tour where your will discover the unique culture of this cattle – herding karamajong community . You will get to watch dance performances from some of the dance groups in the community and also interact with friendly locals . You will get to see the beautiful hand crafted beadwork ,jewelry, basket weaving and pottery . From there you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight .

Day 3 : Game drive and Hot springs visit in Kidepo valley

You will enjoy your breakfast and then visit the Narus valley for a game drive . The park has great observation points whereby you will use binoculars to have a clear view of the wilderness . Narus valley is known to posses the largest herds of buffalo than any wherelse . You will  also see elephants , giraffes , zebras , hyenas , cheetahs and there are chances of spotting big cats on a hunt . Head back to the lodge for lunch .

After having your lunch , you will rest abit and embark on a drive to Kidepo valley close to the South Sudan boarder to visit the hot springs where you will encounter different bird species especially the ostriches within the region although their number is highly threatened by poachers . Return back to the lodge and spend another night at Apoka Safari Lodge .

Day 4 : Transfer to Sipi Falls

Very early after breakfast , you will depart Kidepo via Moroto to visit Sipi Falls . You will transfer to Sipi Falls that are found in Kapchorwa which is north to Mbale . The other neighboring districts in relation to Sipi falls are Sironko and Mbale . As you move towards the Kenyan border , there lays Mount Elgon and it is at its edge that you will embrace the Sipi Falls . This is a full day drive and will only stop over at Moroto hotel for your lunch and embark on the journey to Sipi Falls . You will arrive to Sipi late afternoon and check in to your lodge for relaxation , dinner and overnight stay .

  Day 5 : Hike Sipi Falls

After your early morning  breakfast at the lodge ,  you will drive to Sipi falls offices where you will get a guide for the sipi falls hike . Sipi Falls is a series of 3 waterfalls on Mount Elgon that stretch to 85m , 75m and 100m . You will hike the beautiful sipi falls which offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape and perfect background for photos . Depending on your fitness , you will visit all 3 falls or choose to visit 2 falls . In the evening , you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Sipi River lodge .

Day 6 : Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe Airport for Department

Have breakfast and driving  back to Kampala with lunch en – route in Jinja town , have a brief visit at the source of the Nile , depending on your flight schedule , proceed to Kampala / Entebbe for your onward flight . End of tour .
