6 Days Kidepo Valley National park safari is one of the African third great Wilderness areas. Located in with in the savannah landscape dominated by Mountain Morungolo , the Kidepo and Narus Rivers. Day 1 : Driving to Kitgum town .
You will have an early breakfast and setoff by 7:45am for Kitgum town in the northern part of Uganda where you will have a stopover for the night . The journey will take 8-10hrs where by you shall branch off the road and trek rhinos at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary before karuma to get into the Northern part of Uganda. Then after the rhino trekking, lunch will be served at Tindy safaris afterwards we proceed. You will spend the night at Bomah Hotel and dinner will be served their.
Day 2: Driving to kidepo national game park.
You will wake up early in the morning so as to continue with the journey to Kidepo national park which will take 3-4hrs. when you arrive in to Kidepo valley National park , you will first get breakfast from Apoka safari lodges and lunch , dinner since its where the night will be spent. After break fast , you will proceed to Namamukweny valley where birding is done most of the times while in the park . This place harbours a lot of bird species for example woodhoopoe ,crested turaco e.tc. And also pass through the Lomej hills that have a lush vegetation and it’s a habitat for elephants, giraffes e.t.c.
Day 3 :Visiting the hot springs and Narus river.
You will have an early breakfast in the morning and drive to the kanangorok hot springs which are located at the boarder of Uganda and sudan . The area has a lot of ostriches which can be sited along the game trucks and you will also be able to relax in the thermal warm water so as to relax.
You will proceed to the Narus river which has a good view of all kinds of animals and birds because of its permanent water creating perennial swamps and water pools along the Narus river. Then in the afternoon after lunch you will have a leisure drive through the park at your own pace and later on settle for dinner at the lodge .
Day 4: Hiking mountain Murongolo
You will have breakfast as usual and rest abit . Then you will be taken to mountain Murongolo for hiking since it the place with a good scenery and you will be able to interact with the IK people since they live on the top of the mountain. You will be able to have a stunning view of kidepo valley national park after awards u proceed and come back to the lodges for the evening breeze .
Day 5: Nature walks and Cultural encounters .
You will wake up early for breakfast and a nature walk in the park so as to catch up with the predators plus some other animals that will be returning to their habitants .there you will be able to see elephants ,giraffes and cheetah since the cheetahs are only in kidepo. After lunch, you interact with the village people the karamajong so as to know more about their culture ,heritage and more. After that interaction ,you return to the lodge and get ready for dinner and bonfire.
Day 6: Driving back to Kampala .
You will wakeup and have breakfast ,rest abit as we organise the vehicles for the journey.Then you set off for kampala and in the due course u will have lunch at 2pm then we proceed on the journey to kampala up to the booked hotel.
