OVERVIEW
3 Days Congo safari : Democratic Republic of Congo is the second largest country in Africa, it’s located in central western part of sub-sahara Africa along the equator line. Cong is also the second largest French speaking country.
The country has as remarkable bio diversity that attracts many tourists to it, and it’s among the few countries where you can experience unspolied wilderness .
The most tourist activity in Congo is gorilla trekking, this is so because of the fact that Congo is the only country where you find both East low land gorillas and mountain gorillas.
Other tourist attractions in Congo include, Nyirangongo volcano, water falls and rivers, Idwi island, Virunga national park extra.
For our 2 days Congo safari , we’ll be visiting Virunga national park located on eastern part of Congo. Virunga national park is the oldest park in Congo and the rest of Africa founded in 1925 and is a Unesco world heritage site. The park is famous for, mountain gorillas and the rare okapi, and also Nyirangongo volcano is one to catch a sight of for its boiling lava lake.

DETILED ITINERARY.
Day1; Pick up from Goma or Kigali.
If you are coming from Kigali airport, you will picked up by our representatives and proceed to Congo. Make sure to have with you your travel documents to ensure you will be permitted entry into the country. If you are already in Goma it’s not needed. It’s about 4hrs drive to Gisenyi. Once you have arrived there , continue to Congo, transfer to Virunga national park for clearance, check in at your lodge.

Day2; Gorilla trekking.
On your second day, prepare to visit nature’s closet primate to human, the mountain gorillas. On this day wake up have an early morning breakfast, then you will be picked up by a driver and taken for a briefing. After, you will be driven to the trailhead of gorilla trekking safari in Virunga national park where you will be given a tour guide to go with. Trekking gorillas is usually done with a set of 8 people and takes about 3-7 hrs.
You will get an opportunity to take close pictures of the gorillas, but you are required to keep a distance of about 7meters from the primates. Also while in your trek you will get to see other wildlife like blue monkeys, forest hogs, birds, black and white colobus monkey , extra.
After return to your lodge, freshen up and enjoy the evening , next day you will be picked up to return to Kigali.

Day 3. Return to Kigali.
After breakfast prepare to be picked up by the driver and head back to Kigali depending on the time your flight is.
