The sector is also 4 hours from Queen Elizabeth national park headquarters in Mweya. Enjoy amazing wildlife safaris and boat cruises on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park after gorilla trekking. If you wish to fly, the Kihihi airstrip is just close by the sector. If you choose to travel by road, a couple of routes are available.
Terrain
Compared to other sectors of Bwindi Impenetrable national park, Buhoma sector is not as hilly as other sectors. The other gorilla trekking sectors are near the Kigezi highlands making the trek more strenuous. Buhoma gorilla trekking is less strenuous. With altitudes of up to 1350 meters, the Buhoma sector is the best sector for gorilla trekking if you aren’t up for the strenuous hike into the forest.
