Murchison falls park entry fees : For all the national parks and wildlife reserves, entrance fees are formed and regulated by Uganda Wildlife Authority . These prices are changed every after two years and its important to get updates of the prices for the period you plan to travel. They are well stipulated in the park entry fees document.
Murchison falls national park is one of the most visited destinations in Uganda and East Africa. It’s an amazing place to see large herds, different species of birds and to get lost in a jungle with magnificent landscapes . The savannah park boasts over 140 mammal species, 556 species of birds and 51 reptile species . Apart from all these, Murchison falls national park is also home to the mighty and where the strongest waterfalls are found on the river Nile . The variety of attractions offer a wide range of things to do while on a safari in Murchison falls park that is game drives , boat cruise , hiking to the top of the falls , bird watching and a lot more .
The park entry fees to Murchison falls national park are divided into categories ; individual persons , schools , vehicles and air crafts . The individual entrance and vehicle entrance fees are further divided depending on the status and age of the visitors and size of cars respectively.
INDIVIDUAL PARK ENTRY FEES
Foreign non – residents ; Adults under this category pay an entrance fee of US$45 while children pay US$25 .
Foreign residents ; Adults are expected to pay US$35 while children pay an entrance fee of US$15 .
East African citizens ; Adult citizens are expected to pay an entrance of UGX 25000 while children pay UGX10000 and students UGX3000 .
VEHICLE PARK ENTRANCE FEES
Tour Company Vehicles ; This category covers vehicles from private tour companies or car rental agencies . Most tour companies are known to the parks and may not require a lot of explanation when making their entrance payments. However , for those that are new are advised to travel with their documents that show their company details to prove that the car is for the company . The tour company vehicles are expected to pay US$150 for foreign cars and UGX30000 for Ugandan cars .
Saloon cars ; You can also visit the park with a saloon car like raum , wish and do all your desired tour activities such as game drive also head to paraa to connect with the boat for the cruise. The 4×4 cars are known to be the best for a safari in a park but this does not mean that the saloon cars are prohibited from accessing the park . Saloon cars are expected to pay US$50 for foreign license and UGX 20000 for Ugandan ones .
Buses & Lorries ; This category is for large vehicles . It covers both passenger and cargo carrying vehicles . Foreign buses are expected to pay US$200 while Ugandan buses UGX 200000 .
Private Minivans & Minibuses ; This category is for mid sized buses and minivans . These are commonly used for family and small group safaris . Some of the best rental minivans and buses for safari to parks include Toyota safari van and 28 seater coaster bus . Foreign private minibuses or vans are expected to pay US$50 and UGX 30000 for Ugandan owned .
Motorcycles ; These are also allowed to access the park . Though its not a safe way to travel to the park because it can be risky . Foreign motorcycles are expected to pay US$40 and UGX 10000 for the Ugandan owned .
ANNUAL PARK ENTRY FEES
You can choose to pay for the whole year also known as the annual park entry fee or charge . This can only be applied by foreign residents and guests who are citizens of East Africa . The foreign residents are expected to pay US$350 and UGX150000 for East African citizens . However , a family with a maximum of 4 children are expected to pay US$700 for foreign residents and UGX300000 for East African citizens .
The annual park entry fees charge for a corporate group or company is US$1500 for foreign residents and UGX 2.5 million for East African community . The safari guides are expected to pay UGX 100000 annually for a permission to enter Murchison falls national park . The drivers are expected to pay UGX100000 annually to access the park , however the tour company drivers are exempted from any charges to Murchison falls national park or any other park in Uganda . The tour operators who are foreign residents of Uganda are expected to pay US$50 as annual entry fee and UGX 125000 for East African tour operators annually .
