Murchison River Lodge
Murchison River Lodge is a mid-range lodge situated in Murchison falls national park. Lover looking the park, the lodge is situated 5 minutes from the park entrance and 15 minutes from the Paraa ferry crossing. The lodge offers spectacular views of the Nile as it flows downstream. Thatched Cottages
Murchison River Lodge has grass thatched cottages furnished with 2 comfortable single beds and a double bed on the upper floor. The upper floor has a verandah that has amazing views of the river and the African wilderness. The veranda is furnished with a sofa and a hammock for a relaxing time on your Uganda wildlife safari. The chirping of the birds are the white noise on your stay at the lodge. These cottages are perfect for families and groups. Extra beds can be added on demand. These safari cottages are furnished with en-suite toilet and shower, charging points, mosquito nets for all the beds, a child stair gate and a large thatched roof.
Thatched Safari Tents
The lodge has amazing thatched safari tents that are nestled amongst the bushes. They are furnished with twin beds or a double bed with an option of adding a baby cot. They have a private porch furnished with a chair and able set for a relaxing time on your Uganda wildlife safari. The thatched safari tents are en-suite with a toilet and a shower, have charging ports, a safe and solar heated hot water for the showers. They have wooden door instead of zip openings.
River Tents
Murchison River Lodge has river tents as part of their accommodation. Overlooking the river, the river tents offer an amazing view from their own private porch. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the comfort of your porch. The river tents have a large thatched roof, charging ports, a safe, mosquito nets, solar hot water and wooden doors instead of zip openings.
The Campsite
The lodge has a well located camp site for those who would like to get closer to nature. The lodge however doesn’t offer camping equipment. You will have to come with your own. The camp site offers a natural environment for you to pitch your tent and relax on your Uganda wildlife safari. The camp site has a clean toilet and shower block, shades perfect for pitching a tent, a fire pit, fire wood and a camp site bar.
